Dracoeye is now in general availability!

We listened carefully to your feedback and have been busy bees behind the scenes. Today, th4ts3cur1ty.company could not be happier to announce that our popular Security Analysis tool Dracoeye has moved from open beta into general availability.

This means that there’s a whole host of new features available in our already-free tool, making it a must-have for anyone who wants to protect themselves in a world where cyber security is of ever-increasing importance.

Dracoeye’s primary function is to check files, domains, IP addresses, email addresses, URLs and file hashes against IOC (indicator of compromise) databases to indicate the presence of known cyber threats. It cross-checks reports from reputable sources across the internet – such as Threat Fox, Spamhaus, Blacklist Checker and AlienVault – allowing users to make informed decisions.

Eliza-May Austin, CEO & Co-Founder at th4ts3cur1ty.company, said: “We’ve poured our heart and soul into developing this product, and we launched it to make a real impact on the world, with accessibility at the forefront.

“Watching its adoption has been incredible; it’s quickly becoming the preferred tool for security analysts and MSSPs. It’s thrilling to see even our competitors using it! We’ve truly created something remarkable.”

In addition to a sleek new look and more user-friendly interface across all devices, there are important new features and functionality improvements. For instance, Dracoeye now provides WHOIS information for domains and IP addresses, as well as offers DNS checking for email addresses, urls and domains. Additionally, there is now support for obfuscated domains. Under the hood, the new platform changes have been made to increase performance and the speed of which results are returned.

While it has been developed with SOC analysts and the Cyber Community in mind, Dracoeye is so simple to use that it can be used by absolutely anyone in any industry; in fact, we actively encourage it! Whether you’re in Accounts and want to ensure that the pdf attachment to your invoice received isn’t malicious, or if you’re just someone who wants to ensure that the domain they’re about to visit is legitimate, Dracoeye can help.

The new changes which have launched alongside Dracoeye in general availability have come as a result of engaging with and listening to the community, with features such a reverse DNS and uptime checking to come in the near future.

Ste Wright, th4ts3cur1ty.company’s Lead Developer for Dracoeye, added: “I’m thrilled that Dracoeye is now in general availability. Throughout the public beta, we’ve engaged with our users who have been instrumental in identifying bugs and telling us about features that they want to see. In particular, I’ve enjoyed hearing how the community use Dracoeye as part of their everyday workflow and how it’s helped streamline their process.

“As we move forward, the community feedback will continue to be a valuable driver of our roadmap as we look to expand Dracoeye’s capabilities. We encourage everyone to continue to submit their feedback, with the relevant links found in the FAQ section on the homepage.
It’s been a privilege to deliver a tool that the community has helped shape and look forward to delivering useful and exciting features throughout the development lifecycle.”
